   So is this webcomic a novelisation of an actual exalted game played previously?

   Not exactly–it includes several characters from a previous campaign, but it takes place a couple decades after it ended. Sanity and the Contessa were both PC characters, for example, but the kids are not (although the Inspector showed up a couple games later as an NPC).
