The Contessa was perfectly content to serve the Silver Prince until the end of Creation until he started staring at her while she was sleeping and taking her underclothes. So, she ran off to seek her fortune, met Lance, got pregnant and decided to hate everyone.
I’ve wondered if the Contessa is supposed to have Amyana’s exaltation and if that would explain the Silver’s Prince’s excessive interest in her? Presuming he was Admiria Arkadi in the Age of Dreams.
That really wouldn’t explain him stealing her underpants, would it?
