The Inspector is generally a good boy, but he is starting to develop his own idea of right and wrong. The voices of the Neverborn have sung in his soul since his birth and he is starting to think that maybe they do exist, contrary to what his mother says. He wonders why his mother is building an empire in creation when the road to enlightenment is clearly found in destruction. Besides, the Neverborn say that, unlike his mother, they would let him own a puppy as long as he promised to take care of it.
Just a nitpick here — Malfeans is no longer a term for the Neverborn. That confusing little holdover from oWoD is gone as of 2E. Keep up the good work on the comic, and I look forward to seeing more of the cast (and more of what your future version of Creation looks like, for that matter, since you’ve set this story some 50-60 years after the corebook’s default setting, to judge by the age of your Abyssals.)
Man, I need to re-read my 2E books, then. I’ll get right on and change that. And yes, the story is set roughly 50 years after the Scarlet Empress goes missing. I’m looking forward to when we get to reveal some of the events that happened in between. 😀
